Celebrating Our Milestone 200th Meeting with Special Activities!!
Despite the continuing summer heat, this month's meeting was an extra-special one as we celebrated the 200th meeting of Tottori Toastmasters Club! To mark this memorable milestone, we enjoyed some special activities together.
For our prepared speech session, every member delivered a two-minute speech on the theme, “The most impressive, unforgettable, or memorable moment or experience in your life, including Toastmasters activities.” Just like our Word of the Day, “eloquent,” each member shared memorable moments and experiences in their own unique way. Some stories made us laugh, while others touched our hearts. It was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy not only the stories themselves but also the different personalities and speaking styles of our members.
During the Table Topics session, members worked in pairs and took on different roles to create imaginative and entertaining conversations. We met an worried patient and an optimistic doctor, a teacher and a forgetful student, and even a happy cat owner and an unhappy cat! The creative performances filled the room with laughter from beginning to end.
At our next meeting in September, we will have a special joint meeting with Tokyo ESS Toastmasters Club. We are looking forward to another exciting opportunity to connect, communicate, and learn from one another!

記念すべき200回例会をスペシャルコンテンツで楽しみました！
連日猛暑が続く中、今月の例会は、鳥取トーストマスターズクラブにとって記念すべき200回目の例会！この特別な節目をみんなでお祝いするため、スペシャルコンテンツを楽しみました。
準備スピーチのセッションでは、全メンバーが2分間のスピーチに挑戦。「The most impressive, unforgettable, or memorable moment or experience in your life, including Toastmasters activities.（人生やトーストマスターズ活動の中で、最も印象的・忘れられない・思い出深い瞬間や経験）」をテーマに、この日のWord of the Dayでもあった“eloquent（雄弁な、表現力豊かな）”という言葉のとおり、それぞれが心に残る「あんな瞬間、こんな瞬間」を語りました。ユーモラスに会場を沸かせるメンバーもいれば、心に響くエピソードを披露するメンバーも。スピーチの内容だけでなく、一人ひとりの個性も楽しめるイベントとなりました。
テーブルトピックスでは、2人1組になって与えられた役になりきり、想像力豊かな即興スピーチを披露しました。とても心配性な患者と楽観的な医者、先生と忘れっぽい生徒、さらには幸せな飼い主と不幸せな飼い猫まで登場！ユニークな掛け合いが次々と生まれ、笑いの絶えない楽しい時間となりました。
次回の9月例会では、Tokyo ESS Toastmasters Clubの皆さんとの合同例会を開催します！ 新たな出会いや交流を通して、お互いに刺激を受け、学び合える例会になることを楽しみにしています！
