Explore Kurayoshi, Express Yourself
The first “Outside of Tottori City” meeting was a marvelous success!
We had an Open House Meeting in Kurayoshi City, the 3rd biggest city in Tottori prefecture. Kurayoshi is a one-hour-drive away from Tottori City, where our club meetings are usually held. The city has lots of people who are interested in speaking in English, and we had a record-high 11 guests! The specially prepared impromptu speech session themed “Explore Kurayoshi and Express Yourself” amused many guests. Rather “unpredictable” questions such as “If you take a photo at the beautiful bamboo forest in Kurayoshi for the 2024 new year greeting card, what would you wear? What pose would you make?“ were very challenging. However, speakers responded with full of wits and humor, and I marveled at their skills.
Our January meeting is back to Tottori City. We all look forward to seeing you there!

初の倉吉市出張例会 盛況のうちに終了！
鳥取県第三の都市、倉吉市で出張特別例会を行いました。いつも例会が行われる鳥取市からは車で1時間の距離です。向学心溢れる方が多い土地で、記録的な11名ものゲストでにぎわいました。この日のために特別に用意された「倉吉市のトリビア」をベースにした即興スピーチセッションには、ゲストの方々も積極的に参加して下さいました。「倉吉市にある美しい竹林で年賀状用の写真を撮るなら、あなたはどのような衣装で、どのようなポーズをとりますか？」など、突拍子もない？お題にも、機転を利かせ、ユーモラスに答えておられて、感動しました。
1月は再び鳥取市での例会です。皆様のお越しをお待ちしております。
