Celebrating Our 16th Anniversary with the Division Director and a Returning Former Member!

November brought a touch of chill to the mornings and evenings in Tottori.

Every November, when our club was founded, Tottori Toastmasters Club holds a special “Anniversary Meeting.”

This year, to celebrate our 16th anniversary, we gathered at the Tottori Prefectural Museum for a memorable session.

In addition to our regular prepared speeches and evaluations, we conducted a special workshop to help members prepare for the upcoming Table Topics Contest, followed by a contest-style Table Topics session for hands-on practice.

During the workshop, our club officers produced a mock Table Topics Contest video to demonstrate the contest's structure and conduct clearly. By actually holding a contest-style session, participants were able to experience firsthand what it feels like to be in a real contest — a truly practical and engaging learning opportunity.

We were honored to welcome our Division Director, all the way from the Kansai area, who shared many encouraging comments that reminded us once again of the strengths and spirit of the Tottori Toastmasters Club.

We were also delighted to see returning guests who joined us again this month, and most heartwarming of all, to reunite with a former member who had recently returned to Japan after two years of volunteer work overseas. The meeting was a joyous occasion filled with smiles and positive energy.

Our next meeting will be at the ordinary venue in December.

Division Directorや帰国した元メンバーも加わり、クラブ設立16周年を迎えました！

朝晩がひんやりとする11月。鳥取トーストマスターズクラブでは、クラブが設立された11月を毎年 “Anniversary Meeting” として、特別な例会を開催しています。

今年は16周年を記念して、鳥取県立博物館にて例会を実施。通常の準備スピーチや論評に加えて、特別企画として「テーブルトピックスコンテスト」に向けたワークショップを行いました。その後のテーブルトピックスセッションでは、実践的なコンテスト形式を体験しました。

ワークショップでは、クラブ役員が出演する模擬テーブルトピックスコンテスト動画を作成し、コンテスト全体の流れをわかりやすく学びました。さらに実際にコンテスト形式でスピーチを行うことで、「コンテストってこういう感じなんだ！」と体感できる、実践的で学びの多い時間となりました。

今回の例会では、関西方面からDivision Directorの松本さんにお越しいただき、鳥取トーストマスターズクラブの魅力を再確認できる温かいコメントをたくさんいただきました。

また、先月に続いて参加してくださったゲストの方々、そして2年間海外でボランティア活動をされていた元メンバーの方との再会もあり、笑顔と温かさに満ちた素晴らしい例会となりました。
