February Meeting Goes Online Due to Heavy Snow & March Meeting Builds Momentum for the Contest!
We sincerely apologize for the delay in updating our blog.
In February, Tottori experienced heavy snowfall, making it unsafe to travel to the venue. As a result, we made the decision to swiftly transition to an online meeting.
Although we do not عادة use online tools for our regular meetings, the sudden shift was a new experience for many of us. Nevertheless, each member was able to participate safely from home, and we enjoyed a warm and engaging meeting together.
In March, with no concerns about the weather, we were pleased to welcome two guests to our regular in-person meeting.
In addition to the prepared speeches, the meeting also served as a practice session for members participating in the upcoming Division Contest. It was an inspiring session filled with encouragement and growing excitement as we approached the competition.
(As for the delay in this blog update—yes, you guessed it, it’s partly because of all that practice! 😊)
Thanks to the efforts made during the March meeting, we are proud to share that three members from Tottori will be advancing to the District Contest (=All-Japan Level Contest).

Our April meeting is scheduled for April 12th at the Koreisha Fukushi Center.
As this will be the final meeting before the national contest, we will also be holding final preparation sessions for our contestants.

大雪で急遽オンライン開催となった2月例会と、コンテストに向けて熱が高まった3月例会！
ブログの更新が滞ってしまい、申し訳ありませんでした。
2月例会は、鳥取での大雪により会場までの移動が危険と判断され、急遽オンラインで開催することとなりました。
鳥取トーストマスターズでは通常オンラインツールを使用していないため、最初は戸惑いもありましたが、それぞれが自宅から安全に参加し、温かく楽しい例会となりました。
3月例会では天候にも恵まれ、2名のゲストをお迎えして、会場での例会を開催することができました。
準備スピーチに加え、ディビジョンコンテスト出場者の練習も行われ、コンテストに向けた応援ムードが一層高まる充実した例会となりました。
（ブログ更新が遅れた理由ですが…実はこの練習の影響もあります（笑））
3月例会での練習の成果もあり、なんと鳥取から3名が全国大会へ出場することになりました。

4月例会は4月12日に高齢者福祉センターにて開催予定です。
全国大会直前の例会となるため、出場者の最終調整も予定されています。
